Power FC with Engine Mods

Hey you guys, Im sure that Im not the only one wondering about this. But Recently I installed an Injen Short Ram Intake for my GTS, and ive had a Tanabe Racing Medallion Exhaust on for a few months. WIll my engine die a lot sooner vs. a stock celica if I Dont get a Power FC to adjust the airflow flowing in and out of the engine rolleyes? I know this has been asked before, but I tried searching the threads and couldnt find what I was looking for.
I have unhooked the negative battery after those installs, and I have heard from you guys that, that would do it. If I get a power FC would I take out the stock ECU (Because ive also heard from reading other threads that the stock ECU just overides the power fc) confused? Who would install the Power FC that knows what they are doing (thats one of the reasons I dont even want to bother with getting one, is that whoever installs it and programs it may not exactly know what they are doing, and thus screw it up in the future). Thanks thumbsup

No, your engine will not die sooner.

If you are running to rich, then your cat or O2 sensors may die sooner, but not the engine.

The Power FC is a direct replacement for the stock ECU. This means that you take the whole ECU out and put the FC in. It's not a piggy back system.
