i recently got some TRD sways and i'm wondering should i set the rear sways to a stiffer or softer setting? i'm just wondering whether or not i would much of a difference, right now i have them at the stiffer setting.

having the rear stiffer will cause more oversteer, sometimes better for your car to give neutral handling. it really depends on your cars handling characteristics. if you still get a little bit of understeer then set the rear stiffer. if not then your fine. too much oversteer and soften it.

oversteer on a FWD? wouldn't that be a little hard to control?

understeer = your front wheels lose grip, your car doesn't turn as much (tends to go in a straight line)

oversteer = your rear wheels lose grip, your car turns too far (fishtailing, also what drifters do)

understeer is common on FWD, oversteer is common on RWD. I know that some sways cause oversteer on our Celicas, but wouldn't that be a little hard to control?

yeah kinda, but you can adjust other things, for example, it the sways are causing too much oversteer you can compensate by lowering your rear tire pressure, or (if you have adjustable shocks) soften the dampening your you shocks. when i get oversteer coming out of corners i just countersteer and release the pedals, but if it's really nasty i try to create underteer to even it out by pressing the gas. sometimes you will do a 4 wheel drift which is bad.

thanks i get a little bit of oversteer right now so if i put them on the softer setting that should help with that right? i tried taking a turn pretty fast and the back started sliding out i thought it might be cause i'm on my stock tires and they don't grip as well
