it seems latley lift is engaging at 6500rpm. it used to start at 6200...i checked my lift bolts (which i changed a few moths back) and there was no sign of wear...my question is...wtf???

is lift any less powerful?
if your lift bolts are fine, i'd randomly guess tach error. there's supposed to be +/- 200 RPM error, they aren't exactly made for scientific accuracy

lift kicks hard...esp. since the aem intake...it just seems it's kicking in later than usual..

Tachometer is probably a little off. Is your idling rpms still the same?

Have you changed your gague faces? Thats when i notcied my Tach was off

check at wat rpm ur car hits fuel cut off. i think it should be 8300 rpm it it goes up to 8500 then ur tach is off by 200 or so. if you changed ur gauges that could be the problem, it took me 2 hours being outside trying to fix my needles wen i got my new gauges, if all fails take it to the dealer
