...and we are absent of a spring comressor, is there a way to finish the project without the compressor? i think we are SOL for now cry

why cant you just borrow one from an autozone or other place like that near you?

you dont have to use a spring compressor if you dont mind a big headache after the spring hits you. LOL rofl

yeh i was gonna do that in the first place until my friend said that he was positive that he didnt need one since he didnt need one on his car. but now its too late because he has surgery on tuesday and hes not gonna have any idea who he is for the next 2 months since he gonna be so high on pain killers. i might just take it to the local high school and let the autotech class take care of it. thumbsup

I did it without one on my old integra, but it is much easier with the compressor. I just put it up against a brick wall while I loosened it. Then when it popped it just hit the wall, nothing flew around or got damaged.

yea, thiers plenty of horror stories about springs at ANY dealership. Never attempt that stuff w/o one unless your wearing bomb squad gear smile
