The only thing you'll notice without them is a dirty engine bay, and maybe slower top end acceleration due to more aerodynamic drag. The panels won't protect anything under the car due to how thin they are (and the likelihood of falling off by themselves grin ).

get rid of them. itll probably just get the engine bay dirty or just cause minor dents scraps and damage to engine bay since rocks and other crap will be hitting the engine instead of the bottom plastics.

when is this?!?!?!

That same thing happened to me this fall. On my way to school and hear this scraping sound...so took the thing off right at the side of the road. The whole front is scraped up so much that i can't even ziptie it anywhere...so it's been off for a couple months. Can't notice any increase in dirt or anything yet...but it's just annoying looking at the front of my car and seeing black on the driver's side and pavement on the passenger... angry

sounds good...but i'm planning on getting a TRD front, so will it also fit since the front is a bit wider for the underbody piece to reach

Mine did that too and I got mad and just cut it off on the side of the road one day. It was embarrassing driving around making that loud scraping noise.

I have the same problem. It's time to replace them. What do they go for a Toyota?

I think their most useful function is to protect against water being splashed up into the engine bay. If you have a CAI this could be a problem.
