installation is easy. Paint it yourself in a garage or something.

Dont do that unless you paint professionally and you have the right tools. cost me about 500 to get my kit painted and installed.plus the cost of the kit when i bought it.

mica paint is a little more expensive than regular stuff, i believe because of the metallic flake in it. then, you have to factor in the size of the kaminari kit. you'd be getting a full front and rear bumber painted, therefore more paint and thus more expensive. installation depends on the shop. if they know what they're doing, then it won't be too much, however if you take it to a shop that specializes in ford truck or something, then you'd be spending more (or they may not even do it). i'm not too qualified to give you an accurate estimate, because i have no experience in automotive painting and kit installation, but i can give you a very rough estimate: $800-1100.

Are you saying that for just painting and installing and not the kit?

yep just the paint and install. mostly paint. if you want a good paint job its going to hurt your wallet. not to mention the kit runs around a grand alone. here is an option for you, try to see if you can find an automotive school around you and have them paint it because they do it for cost since its a school and something for the kids too do. i mean that have the right tools and a spray booth so you wont have to worry about dirt on the paint and im sure they have more expeirence then you. i think the paint cost somewhere around $25 a pint. as for install do it yourself, its not hard at all its mostly drilling and screwing stuff on. it wont take more then an hour. unless fitmit on the kit is bad, then not only will you have to take it somewhere to have them put it on its going to cost a lot more, so make sure you try to by authentic kam kit and not just the kam style.

Actually the kaminari could be found in ebay for half the price. with shipping about $600.

Hm... Auto school huh? I don't think they have one here...I'll have to look into that one...

yep, around here the vo-tech will do it for you for only the cost of the material. Problems are, if they don't have too much other stuff lined up, and you have to remember, they are LEARNING on your car. But its a great idea.
