no luck with TRDs...hotchkis maybe my option

i was planning to get sum used TRD springs for like 120 but it didn't work out. now i find sum hotckis springs for really cheap. i know the frop is 1-3/8" front and 1-7/8" back...do i need to change my shocks? if i do how long can my stock ones last with this drop?

the reson i wanted trds is because the drop is slight and my shocks will last...but with hotchkis, i dunnno...help please confused rice

i believe this was discussed before, but you should be fine on stock shocks(hotchkis drop isnt that drastic either). the only thing that i worry about after i dropped my celi with hotchkis springs is that with an alignment they couldnt get the rear camber back to stock specification. its only off by .1 on both sides, so i'm just gonna rotate my tires more often till i can get the camber kit. hope this helps thumbsup rice, maybe someone else has more info grin.

if you need a camber kit to get the alignment right you wear out your stock shocks quickly, but look on the brightside when they do you can get seo good ones

ummm the camber correction kit will not affect the wear of the shock, or of any shock, the loads placed upon the shock are not changed, it is just going through a different part of the travel. the reason the shocks wear out when you lower it, is because they bottom out, making the seal unserviceable. same thing with motorcycle fork seals, you bottom them out, you will replace them faster

hotchkis are great but are low...so if you plan or have a bodykit...and the roads aren't great...I wouldn't get them. They are good though.
