I am debating on which company I should buy from. I am looking for rear & front strut bars and sway bars. I want something that is price effective, looks good, good quality, and performs the best, so give me your guys' opinions. I was looking into TRD for the sways and rear strut and RMM in the front. But, I have no clue on which is best.

for the Rear the TRD 3 point tower bar is the best, and for the front, thr RMM is the stiffest made, followed closely by the APR strut bar. Also, the TRD sways seem to be the best as far as most people say...the other choice is Hotchkis. ask Sultan if he doesn't chime in on this thread...he's done pretty much every suspension mod that you can buy

would you want something race worthy or just everyday carving?
sway bars: soft-TRD hard-hotchkis street harder-hotchkis rear comp
*i recommend the hotchkis street for daily driving.
rear strut bar: TRD bar-3-point strut bar.one peice hypermotive-3-point strut bar.removable
*i recommend hypermotive for trunk assecibility.
Front strut- APR Hotchkis RMM
*APR...it's a front strut bar. if you don't race you don't need anything more expensive.

This is my everyday driver. I want something that is worthy. What is the diffence between hard and soft for the sways? What do they do?

I want better handling, but I don't want the harsh ride as you put it. Have you tried the TRD sways? How are yours? Whoever has the TRD sways can you tell me how the ride is.

Hotchkis is probably the best for all suspension on our car, but it's so expensive.

I just got my TRD front and rear sway bars installed 11/05/04 and you can definitely tell a rougher ride. For a daily driver any stiffer would be a complete annoyance on Tucson, AZ roads. If the roads are better where you live then you could get away with stiffer sways, but beware, it is considerably rougher.

My suggestions: Front strut: RMM/APC, Carbing, APR, in order of stiffness. Rear strut: Hypermotive 3pt, TRD or C-One/Beatrush. The Hypermotive one definitely has the upper hand, since you won't need to disassemble the trunk if you ever need to take it out. The stiffer the strut bar, the better. They'll actually increase ride comfort a bit by reducing the transfer of bumps from the road to the chassis. Sway bars: Hotchkis Street for the inexperienced driver (maintains stock understeer), Hotchkis Comp for the best performance (creates neutral to oversteer handling). When it comes to handling, the stiffer the better. People have gone from TRD to Hotchkis Street, and loved the difference. Then people have gone from Hotchkis Street to Comp, and also loved the difference. Also, I have the equivalent of the Hotchkis Comp set, and I didn't notice any difference in ride quality at all. And I'd defintely feel it since my 17s give a pretty stiff ride compared to the stock 15s and 16s. Overall, the sways are the very best mod I've done to my car, since they literally transform the handling ability of the car with no compromises.

*APR...it's a front strut bar. if you don't race you don't need anything more expensive. Casper pretty much sums it up... I have the TRD sways however I might switch to Hotchkis comp's in the near future. Ride quality is not degraded too much and the corner-carving is very enjoyable. For a front strut bar I'd recommend APR or Carbing for performance and Hypermotive for appearance - I have the latter. For rear strut, go with Hypermotive 3-point if you need trunk space at times or TRD if you don't care about removing it...

I hate getting bad info because I have heard the hotchkis dont alter the ride quality but people are saying they do. I didnt notice much of a difference at all in ride quality of the TRD's. If you want TRD you can get them for ~180 shipped or the hotchkis for ~260 shipped. So hotchkis is def. for peformance though.

OK, everyone who has Hotchkis Street or Competition Sways. Do your sets make any kind of noise when turning or anything. I am considering a hotchkis set. So give me all the info you guys got on your sets. thanks
