my drivers side PIIA Extreme White bulb blew about a month ago and my passenger side blew yesterday...i have to drive tonight so i needed bulbs fast...being at school away from home i looked up the closest dealership (Colonial Toyota in Pawtucket, RI)..when i get there the guy at the part dept tells me that there are TWO different types of low beam bulbs for the celica...i told him that was wrong and that i need the H7 bulb that goes in the projector...i knew i was going to get raped on the price but i was still a little upset when 2 halogen bulbs cost me $50 but i really didnt have much of an option...at this point i must admit that i am HORRIBLE w/ my hands and did not feel comfortable installing these myself (mainly because i didnt want to damage the bulbs and have to pay for another set) so i asked him if someone could take a couple mins and put them in for me...i know its not difficult if you know what your doing...he sends me to the service department where the guy at the desk tells me it will be $72 above the $50 for the bulbs to install them because that is their hourly rate...i told him that it would only take 5 mins and he said that it didnt matter and that was how the service workers got paid...anyways sorry for going on so long but im so frustrated right now angry angry angry

That sucks, unfortunately that's how dealerships make their money though. They don't get rich selling cars, they make their money through the service dept.

thumbsdown

Well, the hell with that! Really, its not too hard to do it yourself; or get a friend to do it and take him out to dinner; a better way to spend your money!
