Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Pioneer AVH-P6600DVD

Hey guys and gals. I have a need to spend money, and I think I may have found something to spend it on, and that's (obviously) the Pioneer AVH-P6600DVD, or this: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/pr...DetailComponent [pioneerelectronics.com]

It can be had for $1,200 shipped. I could use a body kit, and some rims, but I feel that I would personally enjoy this more, seeing as I would actually be using it (and with winter coming up, why risk the damage of a freshly painted body-kit or some nice and shiny rims?). Also, I can bank some Christmas money to buy the other stuff. Also of note: I have about 2500 bucks to spend, excluding Christmas money and gifts. Any opinions on this unit or any other comparative models (except the AVIC N1, that's just too much) and what a rough installation cost would run would be great.

My buddy owns a car audio store. i happen to work there so i can hook you up with a better unit. don't get me wrong, the pioneer is a good unit. we had a few of them. but the panasonic CQ-VD7500 is so much better. the touch screen is so nice and easy to use. also the picture is MUCH better. you wouldn't believe how much clearer the picture is. it retails for $2000 new . but it's our last one before the new line comes out so i'm sure i can talk him into selling it to you for $1300 shipped. and it only takes about 30-45mins to install. it's not hard at all. let me know if interested.
