k well my friend got a 00 carbon blue GTS manual 53000 miles and he wants to trade his for my 00 red GT manual 41000 miles, should i?? he doesn't want it no more cause he doesn't got the time to fix the broken lift bolts and his engine got a whining noise to it because when he took off the valve cover, his dad didn't straighten out the timing chain, so i was thinking that it shouldn't be that hard to fix those problem

bro if he tightened the chain more than hes suppose to and drove like that for a while its no good bro.
it fucks everything up, and breaks and bends every part in the engine. i dont know bro, if hes a real close good friend then maybe you wanna check it out and think about it. but if its just a guy i wouldnt do it. i mean noone would want to go from gts to gt unless somethings really fucked up with their car

offer him 7 gs for it. since it seems broken. low ball him and then fix it up. and from the tutorial ive seen online about fixing broken lift bolts it sounds pretty easy.

Get a real mechanic to check the car out... even take it to a dealership and see. Timing chain issues are NOT minor in any way, shape or form.

Lift bolts, on the other hand, are no big deal.

it's a close friend of mine at work, i've test drove his car and it runs fine to me, so i think his engine is fine, just need a valve adjustment and yeah i wouldn't take it to the dealership cause from my own experience, they're not as mechanical wise as my own dad which have over 25 years of mechanical experience. if anything goes wrong with a car, he always know what it is wrong with it if he check it out thumbsup.
