I believe my 18" verdicts have a 45mm offset and I am running 215/35/18 on a hotchkis drop and I have not had any problems.

Our offset is 39, 35 to 42 is the range we can use. You might need spacers.

so if i need spacers does that mean that the wheel will be tucked in too much...???

Pros of wheel spacers:
Redistributes center of gravity
Better traction and cornering
Vehicle can still use factory rims
Wider tires can be placed on the factory rims
Allows better control at greater inclined angles
Looks much better!

Cons of wheel spacers:
Excessive wear on suspension parts
Possible poor ride
Potential mechanical failure

In most cases, using a spacer of greater than 3mm thickness means you will be using a wheel that was not designed to fit your vehicle!

The same can be said for wheels having an offset to suited for the car. In other words, wheels that have an offset too postive or too negative.

For your situation you will have a greater chance of rubbing your tires against the inner fender when you go around turns and over bumps.
When your not moving the those tires will probably fit fine.

hahah ... I wrote all that and I didn't answer your question ... it should
be alright and yes they will be tucked in more than then should be. If you go with 225 series tires you will most likey rub when you do a 3/4 full-turn to a full-turn. Not 100% sure though

-45 offset is kinda pushing it. It's always safer to go up (-39 +). The TRD T3 wheels are 17x7.5 with a -30 offset, therefore, we can be confident that the celica should drive well even when the wheels are further out.
