-They told me that my air filter was getting really dirty and I should change it sometime. I thought they were supposed to change that every oil change (or is that the oil filter? Is there an oil and an air filter?) -They also told me that my throttle body was really dirty, and I don't know how to clean that -Also, I'm at 60k miles right now and he told me that the 60k service is the most important, but its 500 flucking dollars.
WTF do I do to settle all this?

the oil filter gets changed every time you do a oil change the air filter about every 30K miles first time i changed mine was at 80k miles and it was still good. just clean it out bang it against the ground. isnt really to important.
for the throttle cable doenst matter how dirty it gets dirt doesnt affect it. 60 k mile maintance is basically spark plugs changed tranny fluid changed and they check the belts and top off your fluid. you can get it done cheaper at a differnet automotive shop.

I do my own maintenance. But seeing your initial questions I don't think I would recommend you do that for the 60k. You can either take the time to learn a little about cars or fork up the $500 to the stealership or try some other Toyota certified auto service shop in case you have an extended warranty with Toyota. Check out the 60k service list in the Tech Info section of this site and make your decision.

The Air Filter is pretty important. (but since you are waiting for your intake dont bother with this). a dirty air filter is one of the factors that causes your MPG rating to decrease. not enough clean air is flowing thru. i am waiting for a surplus on the TPR intakes but for now, i'd go with a K&N air filter.

yeah like virgilson said, those items are all basically easy to clean right in your own garage. I don't even know why you are taking your car to ripoff land 'yoda dealership.
