i was just wondering, when installing side skirts such as the trd or wings west ones. does the black part need to be removed for them to fit on right?

When I had my TRD side skirts installed...the bodyshop took the factory skirts off.

For the authentic TRD sideskirts, you remove the stock ones. Some aftermarket side skirts go over the stock ones.

I have a similar question. I bought my car with the TRD kit straight from the dealer and i took them off. My car did not have that black plastic vondutchguy shows us and my car is in the shop getting the RMM sides put on... will they fit or do i need that black thing?

You wont need the black thing. Someone stated above that there are some kits that go over them, but i dont see how they could fit all that well. In your case, i am sure that the rmm sides will fit.

If it doesn't fit it's not made for your car.
That's my opinion. I had some skirts once and they didn't fit. When I removed the stock black plastics there still was no good fitment. So I sent those skirts back.
