I'm wondering if it's worth it to get a Big Brake kit for the fronts for $1200-$1500, Stoptech or Rotora. Either that or just get the AEM big rotors with the caliper repositioning brackets. Which do you guys think is better to get?

I was thinking the Stoptech might be a little nicer since the rotors are a lot bigger than the Rotora and at hopupracing.com the price difference is $300, $1550 for the Stoptech vs $1250 for the Rotora's. Plus the Stoptech is the TRD BBK kit without TRD painted on and without the red painted calipers. So why not the AEM rotors?

AEM is jsut rotors, not new calipers. SO it doesn't really affect braking performance any, just makes it look better

if i could give you my opinion, I would say it's probably better not to mess with your brake balance and just get upgraded pads. I hear axxis ultimate pads are great and so are hawk HP. Unless your car has a turbo, pads should help alot.

To be honest, our cars really don't need big break kits. That is, unless you are really big into LONG auto X courses and road courses. We already have an AWESOME 60-0 stop distance. I read somewhere...I believe it was the Sport Compact Car celica showdown, that the AEM rotor kit stopped in the same distance as a 4 piston Brake kit. The 4 piston one could just do it way more times in a row than the AEM setup. thumbsup
