Does it matter how old your engine is in order to turbo it? Would your engine totally die in a few days of driving if you add turbo once your car reaches a certain milage? I need to know cos im looking for a used celica and i want to turbo charge it but I dont want to it if the milage is already too high for it.

i don't think an engine or turbo would die at at exact/certain mileage. It would seriously depend on the wear and tear on the engine. But a turbo will shorten the life of an engine.

If you decide to get a turbo, you could strengthen the engine's internal parts like the rods, pistons, valves, valve springs and sleeves by getting stronger replacement parts.

Here is the problem when you strengthen the engine's internal parts. You are already spending 5k on turbo kit. At least 1k to install by a pro who knows what the hell there doing. 1k in parts to strengthen engine. Another 2k to 3k to get poarts installed and dyono tuned. You could easily spend 7k to 10k doing that. Just wait and buy a gen8 celi I hear they are going to come turbo charged.
