What could cause my ABS light to come on?

on my way to psu i ran over a deer, and it snatched some of my rear bumper and ripped soem of the clips out frown. But then today my ABS light came on. . ??

i made an appointment with the dealer to look at it, but can anyone give me any insight?

rear abs sensor could be out of wack , all it takes is a small hit for it to go bad or read bad..

so is that an electric kinda issue, blown fuse? how do they go about fixing it?. . . i mean im gonna take it in to service it, but if its just a fuse?!!?

when i was at psu, and driving around. . this would happen. .

i could be going fast and press my brakes hard and the car would slow down fine, no problems. but then when i would get to a real slow speed almost about to stop, i'd get a stutter in the break pedel .. and then it would grab again .. when i was comming to a slow stop i wasn't pressing the break hard either. .. !?!. .

The ABS sensor is pressed into the rear wheel hub. Not sure if it can be removed and replaced. The hub with ABS is a few hundred, but the sensor itself is only around a hundred or so.

Yeah...I think the bits of antler and hooves jammed into your grill and underbody might give the dealer a clue that there was impact with critter - NOT typically covered by warranty!!

just talk to my neighbor who works at a Audi/ww car dealer, and he said to get a OBDII ( and i know someone who has one) and find out if its the speed sensor in the ABS or some other sensor and what wheel its connected to and maybe see if its just a triped swtich. .. i dunno. .

worst comes to worst, i goto the dealer. .
