u can unplug ur cluster, it wont reset ur mileage. the only reason it would reset ur mileage is if you put on a new gauge cluster. you can take off ur stock gauges, by removing the needles first them pulling the stock gauges off. it wont reset ur mileage, dont worry.

Technically, resetting the mileage is possible. Some shops do that to deceive buyers.

you dont even need to remove the needles. i didnt on mine because i was afraid to break them and i read they cost arround $500 to replace. you also have to worry about recalibrating them. check out the install guide on this site. its good, used it for mine!

u dont have to remove them with indiglos/reverse indiglos, but if you are planning on replacing the stock gauge face you have to take off the needles.

what you've possably heard is that when you upgrade to the TRD gauge cluster ...or replace your stock gauge cluster with a brand new CLUSTER... you will replace your mileage to that of the new gauge cluster

example - you swap your gauge cluster for your friend's gauge cluster, you've swaped your mileage odometer as well... you replace your old stock gauge cluster for the a new TRD gauge cluster, you will get that cluster's mileage (usualy 0 miles if it's new)

...

NOTE - IT IS ILLEGAL...
