Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Big Brake Kit & 18" Rims

I'm thinking about getting the StopTech big brake kit. Supposedly same as the TRD BBK, I found the StopTech for $1500 online versus the $2100 for the TRD's. Anyone have these and what do you think of them? They only come with rotors and caliper's for the fronts do you think I should get something for the rear rotor's? If so, which ones? I'm also thinking of getting the 5Zigen FN01R-C in 18x7.5 since the BBK won't fit the 16's. Any opinion on those rims?

I'm about to get a Rotora BBK. Why are you going with the more expensive StopTech? Ever heard anything bad about Rotora?
Most people just put better rotors on the back if they do anything at all. They say a BBK will lock up before the front and that wouldn't be too good.
What do you want to know about that wheel? Do you want to know if we like the looks of it or if it's a good wheel?

So a BBK up front would cause the rears to lock-up sooner than the fronts? Do people put bigger rotors in the back or just different ones? Would it be better to just leave the rear's stock?

Just was wondering if anyone had any good/bad comments about those rims. Nothing specific.
