Question on engine oil
my engine oil is leaking really slowly, so from time to time I have to fill it up. My mechanic said he used castrol gtx 20/50. So I'm using the same thing. Though, Can I use any other brand with 20/50 grade. Is there any other consideration for that? is castrol gtx a synthetic oil?
Can I switch to a high milage 20/50 engine oil? (i have '91 celica w/ 98k milage) Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks

What does your mechanic say about the leak?

what do you expect he says? He says gimme some $500, and I'll get it fixed. The leak is not too bad. After all, this way or another all high milage cars leak. Who would guarantee that, it won't leak for another say 5 years, when I get it fixed?

Am I right or wrong?
