Anybody know how to do it? And this isn't for exterior parts like hoods and what not. This is for interior parts that are going to be wrapped. Does the carbon fiber need to be hardened? How do you attain a smooth, level, layer of clearcoat? Anybody done any work with this stuff?

the c/f needs to be under pressure when curing in order to come out flat, if it isnt then air bubbles become present. as for the clear, its applied just like clear on paint

Are you sure? I've been told I can air cure it with an epoxy matrix.

I've tried to, but didn't want to invest time in perfecting it. the method I used. I laid down fiberglass resin as a glue and laid fiberglass over it. used a roller to smooth it out. Then you poor small coats of epoxy resin from westsystems(its the clearest. You apply small coats to prevent air bubbles (but you can't get rid of the entirely if done amaturely)The you may have a problem w/ it being smooth, I sanded it down worked up in the grains and then clear coated it. Expoxy is very tricky to work w/. I recommend a lot of practice.
