Hey! I'm thinking about buying a hood spoiler but I have a few questions. Does anyone know how to install it? Do you hve to drill your hood? Also does the spoiler come pre painted or will I have to get it sprayed?

Hey! I'm thinking about buying a hood spoiler but I have a few questions. Does anyone know how to install it? Do you hve to drill your hood? Also does the spoiler come pre painted or will I have to get it sprayed? The original TRD ones come pre-painted. If they did not come with your car when you purchased it or didn't get the chance to buy them then it will be hard getting the original one unless you find it off someone who is selling their original. 4 years ago they were easy to get but you have to buy them directly from TRD . The TRD one came pre-painted to color match your car, they also came with instructions in Japanese as well as a template where you can drill holes directly into your hood. The original TRD hood wings are flawless and made of some strong light weight plastic. They are a discontinued item and so far the only common ones made are replica's. The replicas are made of Fiberglass and don't come with a template. You will also have to get them colormatched to fit. Depending on the quality of the mold and who ever produced the copy that will be a factor in fitment errors. I have seen a some nice looking replica ones and some that also did not fit flush. I reccomend you finding some used ones original or high quality replica. Try to fit them on the car first to see if they sit flat on the hood before you purchase. And make sure the quality is good and the lines flow. If you don't want to paint just get a Carbon Fiber hood and get some Carbon Fiber hood wings. I'll post of pics of my cousins 1 out of 40 TRD GrandPrix Celica's ride with the real TRD hood wings. As well as the Carbon Fiber hood with Carbon Fiber hood wings that I sold to him. It's a Great item. Good luck finding the original one or finding the replica.

Not a fan of hoodspoilers. I'm a stronger believer that spoilers belong on the back. I agree they could look good on some cars.

hey goldcelica what kind of rims are those that silver celi? Sorry for the late response. They're Velox VX-5 in 19's wrapped in Toyo's. Whoever wants them. Let me know if you're interested I can have my cousin sell them to you for a great price.
