Celica Forums General Discussion General Changing the rear tail lights?

Hey Celica lovers, I was changing my rear taillights and found out that was a major bitch to do ( or atleast more work than I thought) I live in Pittsburgh where the sun goes down wayyy to freaking early so I started late, then found out that I had to take off part of the inner plastic in the hatch area to get to a bolt, aghhh. Anyone else annoyed by the taillight changeup? Oh yea, they were the TYC black elegante - my car is carbon blue

good choice on tail light..ummm if memory serve me right I didn't have to take any plastic out when changing my tail light

You dont have too but it makes it real easy if you just pull the plastics inward. I just did my 03 tails the other day (thanks Docsmiley!)

yeah when i changed my tail lights i first thought id only have to take out those plastic covers, then i ended up taking out all the plastics it wasn't really that hard, simple really, but it took a little longer than i thought.
