When i put on my trd exhaust today. Do i have to reset my ecu?

You could for safe measure. Wouldn't hurt to try. Anything have to do with your engine and sensors, I would.

you don't have to. if a CEL comes on though then you might want to. but as already mentioned...it definately doesn't hurt at all to do it..it's just not needed.

Resetting the ECU will improve the gains much more than driving with the ECU set up for a stock exhaust system. You'll notice a huge difference in power the first time you go driving after the ECU reset.

yup. when i pulled out of the dealership after having my trd installed, i was pretty disapointed. i went straight home and reset the ecu and went back out.. NIGHT AND DAY. no lie, do it . youll see

how do ya reset ur ECU.. is that disconnecting the negative battery terminal and lettting it sit for a bit?

basically, yeah. The ecu has settings that adjust themselves to the way you drive and the systems that are on your car.
