Okay first my 12v remote amp wire (the one that tells the amps to turn on) came lose from behind the deck which i dunno how cause i soldered it, so i fix that, then im wondering why my speakers are working and my subs arent so i go to my trunk and find out that the amp for the speakers are working fine but my amp for the subs says that "power protection" is currently enabled. usually the light on it is green meaning everything is ok, but its red meaning there is something wrong with the current confused. it will stay like that for a couple minutes then it will start working again, then it will stop again. i dunno what to do, all power connections are okay under the hood and my grounds are ok, i dunno wtf to do?

protection usually means two wires that touched wernt supossed to,it will turn itself back on in a couple of minutes like you said, the other reason for protection is when if over heats,i have that problem with my big ass system in my trunk so i have to pull the passenger back seat down to get cool air back there

Protection also means that your running at an ohm rating that your amp can't handle. Or it is when there is a short somewhere.
