welcome! wave

every Celica needs a drop to look decent IMO.
you're going for looks and not racing right? 18's will be fine then in 5x100, offset.. well what do they offer?

just my opinion in your case: drop, rims, bodykit.

it would look too high, would definitely get a drop with 18's... 1.8-2" with stock body, little less if you planning on a bodykit... cool

I have a GT also with the tein s.techs (1.5" drop all around) and I plan on keeping my stock rims so that's why I went with that drop.

My opinion is this: if you get 18's and no kit, the get around a 2" drop. If you get 18's and a kit, then get the same drop as me. thumbsup

mcnelius, see the numbers after the rim size?...well that's the bolt pattern. Ours is 5x100 so there's only one to consider among those listed. Offset is the next number listed. The letters are the type of finish. Call your local rim/tire shop like Discount Tire and they should help you out. IMO you should go for 35-38 offset in that rim size to be safe. 40mm is cutting it close, but might work. hopefully someone with experience w/ wide rims or someone actually running 18x8 in 40 offset will answer. I use 15x6.5 for racing.

and do a websearch on wheel offset, it's just good to know what that is when buying aftermarket rims.

I get my kicks on EC.
