So i'm buying my 96 Celica GT for $3500 from a friend of mine. Now, the tires needed replacing VERY badly, so I planned on replacing them myself. However, after sealing the whole deal, signing that we were going to do this and all, his Dad decides to take his car one day, slap new tires on it, and do a ton of other shit. THE NIGHT BEFORE WE WERE SUPPOSED TO DO THE TRANSACTION, his Dad calls him (who doesn't live with him) and starts screaming and yelling to not sell below $4,000 bs . It took me at least 3 weeks to get the bank to transfer that amount of money, so I plan on calling him around 9:30 to offer him $3,850. Hopefully his psycho dad will take it.

Wish me luck fellow e-celica peoples.

GOOD tires would not have been cheap, but the tires that are on it now were $450 because they know the guy who sold them to him. I just got off the phone with him, offered the $3850, and he's going to talk with his dad tomorrow after school.

Hopefully this weekend i'll be rollin' the 6th gen thumbsup

if he takes 3850 then it'll be all good because he'll save you the work of buying tires and putting them on thumbsup

i'm not 100% on what kind of tires. And when/if I get it (i'm talking to him tomorrow morning in the parking lot about it) then i can't wait to post pics. If you saw my post before about me getting it, i said that it's got this kickass custom paintjob (no like, crazy graphics or anything, just a custom color), what looks like an invader body kit, some nice wing, and an audiobahn system.

She makes me drool.

well if it was signed, take it to court, you should only have to pay the desired amount by the signers, no matter what the dad says... otherwise you will have to renegotiate, and compleatly throw out the old aggreement... because the car is in "better" shape then it was before...

was the dad one of the signers on the contract? if not he cannot have say in the price
