I have 03 celica, and I have been driving since I was 16 years old, I'm 22 now. I have one ticket on my record last year when I got caught going 95. My State farm insurance here in CALI went up and I was paying $168, now my insurance went up again and I'm paying 220 because of my record. I want to change my insurance company, Any recommendation would be great. Also, anyone know how long does the ticket record last on dmv record? Thanks in advance

DIdja know that the Celica is the third most expensive car under 35K to insure? first is the Ford Stang Convert. Then the S2000. Behind Celica are the Eclipse spyder and Chrysler Sebring convertible. All convertibles. Damn. As for mine...given the accident, I have no idea.

Mine just went UP by $300 frown

I pay around $1500 a year (not a full year, either 8 or 10 months).

I'm in Jersey and I pay 1610 a year(so 135$/month). This is with Geico. From my experience State Farm sucks. For me they just kept raising my rates even though I was getting older and never had anything on my record. I am only paying 5$/month more with my Celica GTS than I was paying for my 89' Tercel(and that was without collision).

I have a clean record and I pay $1950 a year. My insurance agent showed me the difference between GTS insurance GT insurance, and GTS people pay a good amount more.

I pay $1080 a year under my bros insurance which is Allstate. But just like a lot of people, I also got into an accident and am waiting to see what I'll pay now.

Let's just say I am involved with financials for a major insurance player. The insurance rates are tied to the profitability needs of the company. When the stock market is as fucked up as its been the past couple years, investment income takes a hike. The quickest way to make it up is on the premium side...they know we all hafta drive. winkNot much different with the big oil companies. When gas hits $5 a gallon, who among us won't figure out a way to come up with the $70 for a fill-up? eek

I'll be 5 months away from turning 25 when I get back to the states, so I hope I don't get screwed too bad. I pay 97 euro a month for full coverage here in germany which is about 130 dollars a month

Holy crap you seriously get stung for insurance over there!! Celica isn't a high insurance group over here, I was quite surprised when I got a quote for myself (29 yr old, clean license, no claims for 7 years) at 450 which would be about $815 at the moment..

i think mines like 1900$ thats with 2 tickets, but i get mad breaks from being long time insured, multi-car policy, dual airbags, seatbelts, abs brakes, disc brakes and all that other crap, its adds up to like 20 deductions for like a 250$ savings..

$168 thats cheap. mine is around $240 for full coverage with Farmers Insurance.

I heard Wawanesa was a great company to be insured by, because it has the cheapest rates. thumbsup (i dont know if you've heard of this company, and i dont care. spineyes )

i've only gotten 3 tickets, but they were "Fix-It" tickets, so they dont go on my report for insurance.

I pay $800/year, 21 years old, perfect driving record since I was 16, but my insurance is with my mom who also has a perfect record for about 20 years so I think that helps.
