Whats up,
My dad just bought a 1500 watt amp made by fosgate its the punch series 501s. Does that 501s mean its actually a 500 watt amp? please help me out as much as you can

i think i used to have the fosgate 500s punch amp that was made like 2 years ago and it was 500 rms bridged (which is 1000 peak). so i dont know about yours but it might be 1500 peak which doesnt really mean much since rms is the wattage it constantly runs at.

I think it means the model number and type fosgate refers to.
