I do enter my user name and pw, but it keeps coming up for everything that I open. I searched the KB on microsoft and couldn't find anything about it. plz only post if you know how i can get rid of this. I have xp pro w/ sp2
Unless you have a virus and need to get rid of it, you should keep system restore on. So if you have updated virus software and a firewall, the first thing I'd do is turn that on.
Next, go to Control Panel, then User Accounts. Under the picture for B-MONEY, it should say either "Computer Administrator" or "Limited Account". If it does not say "Computer Administrator" or "Power User", then you don't have the permissions to run whatever program you're trying. Click on B-MONEY and then click on "Change the account type" and change it to Computer Administrator.
Let me know if that doesn't work and I'll try to recreate the problem (because I have seen that screen before and know how to get to it).
Ok I did a little playing around and figured it out.
Whatever shortcut your clicking on, right-click it. Click on Properties. When the window shows up, click on Advanced. Make sure that "Run with different credentials" is not checked. Try running it again.
You may have to do this for every shortcut affected.
I've heard LOTS of bad things about SP2!! If you have any further "odd" problems you may want to delete it. I won't go past SP1 myself. Hope you get the problem resolved because puter problems suck!
Which program are you trying to run when you get this error? if you look at the "advanced" tab in the properties of the program you are trying to start, you may find a little box labelled "Run with different credentials" that is ticked. Untick it - problem sorted
