I guess this a simple qeustion to some of you but i have a 2000 gts and i am almost done with my internals and im working on a lot of other stuff but my qeustion is will a turbo over ride the lift on my motoer or will they work together?

I seem to not heard anything on this yet

They will work together because a turbo will not over-ride the high speed cam setting.

whoa, I couldn't imagine what lift would feel during high spool w/ a turbo...man I wish I had money!

it would feel weaker because you'd have to down tune it so your engine wont blow.

Yes, its weaker, its not as pronounced. Mainly because you're making more power before lift. So you won't really feel the changover.

The turbo and lift would work together for more power there is no overiding, the VVTL-i of the celica would compliment the turbo quite well with the turbo helping the 2zz's low end power deficiency and the lift helping the turbo keep the power going all the way to the very end of the power curve. It's just like a turbocharged Honda with VTEC, the only "down" tuning you might want to do is lower the compression but that's only if you want to increase the boost. If you're not increasing the boost over the default setting of 6-8psi then you don't need to down tune anything because the kits are set up to safely run with the high compression, hence the low boost of only 6-8psi, not the usual 13-14psi. But since you have improved the internals you should be able to run more boost, probably no more then maybe 18psi on street pump gas, just don't get boost happy like many turbo car owners (myself included) and overboost to win a measely race that ends up destroying your expensive motor.
