I am going to order that AEM CAI for my GT, but first I want to ask a couple questions...

1. Can you feel/notice an increase in performance after installing the intake?

2. At what RPM's does the intake start to roar/scream?

3. Do you feel a loss in low end after installing it?

4. Why did you purchase AEM over Injen?

5. What is the difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2 and does it come with a CARB sticker?

Sorry for all the questions, but being on a college student budget, spending 200 for an intake is a huge purchase.

Thanks! smile

1. Can you feel/notice an increase in performance after installing the intake?
- YES

2. At what RPM's does the intake start to roar/scream?
- 3,8000

3. Do you feel a loss in low end after installing it?
- AEM IS DESIGN FOR LOW END POWER. SO NO

4. Why did you purchase AEM over Injen?
- COZ I LIKE LOW END THAN HIGH END. PLUS TPR HAS A LONG WAITING LIST. AEM CAI WILL DO FOR NOW BEFORE I START TACKLING WITH F/I

5. What is the difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2 and does it come with a CARB sticker?
- GEN 1 HAS PROBLEMS WITH CEL. GEN 2 HAS NOT. ALSO, MAF LOCATION IS DIFFERENT BETWEEN THE TWO.

But I thought AEM and Injen perform pretty much the same with a GT (different for GTS however)?

I want low end, but I definitely want high end also. So can you feel a power difference in high end?

And where did you guys purchase your AEM intakes? If I purchase one, and it doesn't say if its gen 1 or gen 2, how can I tell?

Correct. AEM and Injen CAIs perform almost equally on the GT, despite their different designs. On the GTS, it's a different story, with Injen beating AEM up top by a couple hp, but AEM being vastly superior down low (Injen loses low end over stock) and in midrange. Add an exhaust into the mix, and AEM comes out on top in low end, midrange, and top end. smile

Yeah, the low end power loss of the Injen CAI on a GTS is twice as bad once the bogging kicks in. I drove my friend's car with an Injen, and was stalling all over the place because the car just wouldn't move from a stop. thumbsdown
