Do you ever feel like ur gettin fuck'd at the shop? This past Friday my car was in the body shop for 5 weeks. Granted the first 3.5-4 weeks were justified, there was a ton of fitting and reshaping that needed to be done to my kit. As for the last 8 days or so Ive been gettin the same old story from them, "theres a 90% chance that the car will be done ______" the "next day". Its gettin a little old to tell ya the truth, last weds. the car was supposed to be done. Then the person putting it back together quit, so it was pushed back to thurs. and then friday rolls around and the car needs the mirrors installed and the trim around the windows and the roof line. I went to see the progress on sat. and it was 99% complete. so... it should be ready monday, knock on wood, like they say. They, and I, have had a great relationship for sometime now and dont get me wrong they do some of the best work in Michigan. I havent had a problem till now and Im starting to get to my whits end here. So everyone please X ur fingers fir me and hopefully Ill have my car back in the next 15 hours frown

total was 2,626.86 for the entire kit to be installed, fitted, molded and a total repaint on the car. There are 4 primer coats, 4 base coats and 5 coats of clear. They then sanded it flat, polished and then buffed the car. I have never seen paint this deep b4 in my life.

Okay here's what you do... Bodyshops tend to do this to everyone. First comes by 1month then 6months painting a whole car. Here's what I did, go tell the owner of the business "for everyday you have my car and is not completed by the written date" you will deduct _ _ _ amount. If you're great friends with them don't get to defensive since they are the ones doing the work just let them know you are really concerned. That usually gets them to figure out the point you are making. No worries if they are actually working on your car trust me the wait will be worth it in the long run thumbsup

yeah, me too. my car is still in the shop and it will be a month in a couple days. 2 weeks ago the guy said it would be done 'next week' and then i call him up fri (15th) and he pushes it back another week so this week it should be done according to him. if its not im gonna be very upset.

Good Idea, if its not done 2maro then I'll try that. Since I dropped the car off I've only been dealin with the owner so I think he might get the pic. Though where hes been gettin me these past few weeks is when he says theres a "90%" chance or a "50%" and so on. Basically hes been covering his ass by not making it 100% sure deal. All I know is I've been very understanding through out this entire process, I knew going into this it was going to be awhile but he needs to stop with the unrealist goals and delivery dates thumbsdown
