I took my car to tha track the other day and ran 16s all night. I have read that the GTS with cold air intake should be running in the 15's atleast. The intake along with the ACT Clutch, I would think I wouldnt have a problem gettin in the 15s.
What do you guys think? 16s normal for the GTS?

No, its not normal, however it is normal for a beginner his first time at the track. You just have a lot of improving to do. 14s would be ideal, thats what you should be going for. Post up your whole slip, and i can see where you need improvement. You probably need to improve your launch as well as landing in lift. Oh yeah and this should be in racing.

What do you guys think? 16s normal for the GTS? At first I was thinking that you had an 02' with the rev limiter. But, now that I see you have an 01... WOW!

wat intake do you have, wen i ran my first time with my injen intake i got 16.5 i was so fucking mad, practise a few times and got to 15.2 with the same intake, now i could of got close to 14 if i had AEM sence thats a better intake because of the low end and no lag but ill run again ones i get the tpr intake, just with intake i should be at 14.8 or around that, i know i can make it there, so can you if you practise ur launch and landing on lift, you mite be scared to take ur car pass redline but dont worry, our cars are like motorcicles, there made to be rev hard, our cars just love it, just dont stay in redline because you will blow it. as soon as you hit 8,400 shift and keep doing that and ur pretty much landing on lift good luck and post wat you get next time

Thanks a lot Clos...Yuh I have the AEM Intake, and the ACT Racing Clutch. I do that, shift at 8,400 every shift. Anything else I should be doing? My reaction times have been between .2 and .3. Where should I start looking for problems on my car? What are some things I can check? Also, what RPM should I launch at?
Thanks!
