Alright, so for those of you who dont know the story (Jeff aka cycocelica laughsilly) I totalled my celica sunday night. I fell asleep at the wheel, hit a mailbox, garbage can, went into the ditch, flew up out of the ditch and was airborn (this is where i woke up) and landed on the road. I skidded on the road lost control and wound up in the ditch on the other side of the road. spineyes I was recovering all week and havent been into work all week. Anyway... the mechanic siad he stopped counting the damage when he got to $11,000 So needless to say its totalled. With the money I'm getting back (still have no idea how much) I'm gunna get another celi of course! grin Here are some pics of my celi totalled...

Believe me, i would LOVE to get billys... it looks sooo sick in person. Its got quite a reputation around here. All my friends know about it and ask if i ever saw the 'red celica by muller toyota' i say "yeah! thats my buddy billy's celica that hes selling, i wanted to slap him for that!" laughsilly anyway, i cant afford that one. $20k is NOT what im getting back from the insurance. but otherwise I totally would cry

Hey thanks guys wave

Btw just to clear everything up... I cant part out my celica. I only took the aftermarket parts and those I'm going to reinstall into my new celi. The whole car now belongs to insurance. Thats WHY im getting refunded all my money. So to make it easier... consider everything in my car sold. I've gotten soooo many PM's asking to part out stock parts. So if you sent me a PM about it and I didnt respond sorry, Ive just gotten sick responding back to them. And if anyone else sends me a PM about it, I'm gunna send a PM back saying this...

slap

^Read carefully

Which reminds me of a story. When I was returning my car back to stock, a guy came up to me and asked me if I wanted to sell my seats to him. I told him I couldnt because of insurance, he siad ill give you $1000 for both. I siad I cant, he siad $1500. I siad I couldnt agian. I asked him if he had a celica and he siad 'no, im gunna pop em in my oldsmobile' rofl rofl rofl

it's nowhere close as bad as yours. But how much do you think this is going to cost to repair. I heard the rear quarter panel is expensive to repair. Something is also wrong when I switch my gear to parking. It has a hard time clicking into place. What could it be?

Oh man I feel for you, you are looking at thousands to do it right, just a guess but probably around 5K+. Not sure why you would be having shifting problems, I would definitely get that checked out as well. cry cry cry

This makes me sad to see all these Celica's wrecked cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry

Glad your ok tho thumbsup thumbsup thumbsup

You can get another car at the same time. Your insurance company will probably let you buy your old one for about $1000. The engine & tranny are worth about $3000 pulled out alone. With all the other parts I could see you make $10,000 on the deal. Just pay the $1000 & start dissasembly later when you have time, or sell the component. thumbsup

Don't ya know, its easy to take things apart, the hard part is putting it back together. LOL

I am sure you could buy it complete for $1000 & sell it for maybe $4000 without doing any work to it.

If you seperate the engine & tranny, two guys can lift the motor out (300lbs) & the tranny is lighter (200lbs). But you could buy a chain hoist ($40) or a hydraulic engine hoist ($200) which is cool to own & it would be easy picking. You grab a wooden skid or two from the back of a store or factory. You use rope or straps to secure the engine to it & call the shipping company & tell them you don't have a toe motor. They will drop by with a truck that will have an elevator & they will use it to put it on the elevator & it won't be a prob. Probaby cost ya $200 to ship it to the other side of the country. Do the same with the tranny if you seperate the two. Then you can get into body parts, interior parts, exhaust, rear struts, gas tanks, fuel pumps. Scrap yards sell their motors stripped, so pull the alt, air condit, belt, a/c pump & everything including the throttle body off the motor, sell those seperate. The list goes on & on. The scrap yard I am sure make $10,000 for every scrap car they part out. Its a cool business. thumbsup

I almost bought that blue celi you posted a pic of 2 weeks ago. If your looking for Certified Celica's Toyota of Lakewood had a few GTS certified in stock. I bought mine from them.
