I am about to purchase probably a used Celica in the next 2 months, I was just wondering... Lets say I bought a 2000, 2001, 2002, or 2003 Celica would I be able to buy the action package from Toyota? Another word, can I make a pre 04 model looks like a 04-05 model?

Thank in advance guys.

FRONT BUMPER AND TAIL LIGHTS AND CHROME ROUND THE LISENCE UNIT...BUT OTHER THAN THAT U SHOULD B COOOOOO... thumbsup thumbsup

Yes you can and good idea. I wish I would have just gone to www.traderonline.com [traderonline.com] and picked up a good used Celica instead of spending so much on a new one. Since I'm changing every damn thing on the car with aftermarket parts anyway.
When your ready, I will sell you my TRD kit. It's red and in perfect condition. I won 10 first place trophies last year with it.
I don't know what it's worth yet. I'll find out and let you know if you do get a Celica.

And there are several sites for the Celica. This is just the best.

if you want the previous action package, the front, side, and back will be easy to find. Forget about the wing though, its almost impossible, and if you do find one its freakin expensive. You can get the "like" trd wing if you want for a couple of bucks. There is another celica site out there as well, but dont make me name it b/c i'll probally get banned.

badceli : Thats what I meant when I said there was no other Celica forums out there, because I believe this one has the most traffic and its the best.

tuppuguy : Hey you saing I can't get the wing? dam I love those wings. the 04-05 wings looks sick man. How much they run for? I cant get one???

there are a couple small differences from 00-02 and 03+
the 03+ has a darker grey interior, matching amber light in the console/clock/radio and like jonz said, the stock front bumper is different because of a vent, the tail lights design is different and there's a chrome part on top of the trunk hatch thumbsup

if you want to go trd action package, you probably shouldn't go to the dealership for one but instead, look for one that someone is selling. you'll save a lot of money.

heres my suggestion for you:
i say go for a 2002 GTS, yes i know about the rev limiter, but it sounds like you have the money to buy an apexi pfc to replace its stock ecu or just go to the junk yard and get the ecu and O-2 sensor from a 2001/2000 GTS and swap it.

if you plan on getting a 2003+ dont plan on getting an Apexi PowerFC, because its not compatible.

now, you can find the TRD wing from people on here selling their's or find a replica and have a body shop work on it a bit to make it fit.

as for the Tsunami spoiler, the only place you can buy that from is from a Toyota dealer, which you are gonna have to give up your shifting-arm for.

The real TRD/Action Package wing costs $1100 from toyota themselves, imagine how much the Tsunami spoiler is gonna cost.

BTW, i suggested the 2002 because, its around the middle of the production line of the celicas.

the rev limiter is the least of your worries, plus it can be easily changed by the things i suggested. but with an 03+ celica, changing it so that you can install the Apexi PowerFC is gonna be harder than it is on the 2000-2002 models.

Apexi PowerFC is the best replacement for the Celica's ECU. it performs the best.

Thats some good info.

Why can't all car be simple, so complicated *Sigh*

I knew it would be harder than I expected.

This is making me just wanting to buy a new 2005 Toyota and not have to deal with all this.

Btw, how much does the Toyota charge for the action package on the site when you buy it new? I couldn't find it.

I just found out that the Action Package from Toyota cost 1,965, that sounds about right, considerin the fact that you said the wing alone will cost $1000.

So basically the I will be expecting to pay 2 G's for the action package. DAM

Man, I just told you, I'll make you a good deal on my TRD kit. No need to waist that much money. You can get a good used Celica for a pretty low price and there are enough people selling tons of mods on here to completely trick it out. Cheap. Don't do like I did and buy everything new. That's how I messed up and have over 60g's in my Celica now.

AznUnlimitationZ, are you looking for the NEW Action Package (2004 and 2005 models) or the old TRD/Action Package?

Oh no!!!!!! Not again!!!!!! I posted a topic called "$60,000 Celica" and just got bashed all to hell by everybody on this site because I don't have pictures, since I'm in Iraq and the car is going from shop to shop right now. That topic had over 1500 views and I think about 200 replies which I tried to answer everybody. Never again will I say enything until my car is done and I have pictures. So just to give you a quick answer how I spent so much, here is just a few examples...23,000 on the car, 10,000 on the sound system, 6,000 on the turbo, 7,000 on the APR kit molded on, then all the other little things like suspension, seats, roll bar, nos, wheels, etc...
But let me know if I can help with anything. We can just talk on here, that way others can join in if they want.

If you want the old Action Package, I suggest you just buy a 2000 or 2001 Celica and get the kit for someone on this site (there's always one for sale in the "Group Buys & Stuff For Sale" section). But, if you want the new Action Package, you should just buy 2004 Celica with the kit already installed (you'll get factory fitment!). thumbsup

Wait, the pic you showed me, do you think you got them switched around? I thought the top one was the 04-05 action package and the bottom one was the old one. WTF? The one I was looking for is in the first pic you posted, if thats the old one then I will have a better chance getting it. YES!

I would go with a Wings West instead of the TRD kit. Looks the same. If you really want to get the look of the TRD kit, just get the front bumper and WW everything else.

I bought my complete "old" TRD action package used for $1000.00 canadian shipped. That works out to about $800USD Didn't get a wing. Then it cost around $600USD to get it painted. Installed it myself. Since it's OEM it is a perfect fit. Authentic wings seem to go for $300 - $400USD

Yeah my fault, I just found out that the older ones were the one I was actually looking for. lol. The old ones looks better. Seems like oldschool is getting better than newshcool in the looks department around the auto industry.

Just buy an '03 with the kit installed already. That is your best bet.
