Does anyone have them fitted? how do they compare to stock springs in terms of ride height, stiffness etc? I really want to lower my car but just a little, and I love the way my car rides and handles with UK spec suspension and don't want to mess it up for the sake of looks!!

someone with the actual springs should be able to help you more..but the trd springs give a 1" all-around drop. this means the spring rate is just a little stiffer. you'll be able to feel the bumps of the road a little more but it's won't be anything too far different from what you are already feeling. and don't worry about messing up your car's handline...the trd springs will only improve this

Thanks - a lot of the spring kits I have seen drop like 35mm which is quite a way, don't want to be grounding the car on speed bumps

Your struts should stop your car from bottoming out. I have never scrapped on anything as of yet.

i got the trd springs. to me the drop is perfect. handling is a lot better while maintaining good ride quality..just a little stiff than stock.

if you switch to trd springs, do you have to change the shocks or will they last with TRD springs?

I have the TRD springs, I changed the shocks/struts as well with TRD ones. The drop is noticeable and it looks nice...it's only about 1", but it's just about perfect for me. It rides nice and it's bumpier than stock, but I like cars that have a rough feel. The only complaint I have is that after I installed the new springs and shocks I have this thug, thug, thug sound coming from my passenger rear when I corner hard left. Sounds like something wants to give or something...anyone know what this kind of sound could be from?

I don't mean bottoming out as such, a lot of roads near me have speed humps supposedly to slow people down, I used to have a lowered BMW a couple of years back and the humps in the road almost took the exhaust off and dented the floorpan!! we ain't having that with the celica now are we
