the next thing i plan on doin to the gts is getting some ground support. i have a general idea of what springs/coilovers do but im not sure if i should by them together or seperate. i always hear about people buying springs all the time, but hardly coilovers..also with if i upgrade those i should upgrade the shocks too right? im confused...drop some of your knowledge pellets over in my lawn... spineyes

let me know if i got this right...springs are a one time thing..once they are set its set for life..while coilovers allow you to change the height whenever...you really cant have both..right???

Coilovers are springs and struts together as a package (and they're usually both adjustable). Some adjustable springs are called coilovers as well, like Ground Control and SKunk2, but require aftermarket struts to control their high spring rates (otherwise you'll be in for a stiff, bouncy ride). Aftermarket off the shelf struts (KYB, Koni, Tokico, TRD) are good for use with springs down to about a 1.5" drop. Any further and you'll either have to get custom struts made to handle the low drop, or replace your blown struts every year or two.
