I have read that this will increase performance even when there is another system in control. I want to get the XS complete turbo kit that has an Apexi Power FC. Will the Venom actually work (this model is said to specifically be built for the 00-01 GTS) and if so could it give more performance? Im sorry for asking these questions but I want to learn more and Ive looked around for many hours and find no clear answers. Its better to ask now than to screw up and pay later.

The PFC is pretty complete when it comes to features and tuning. I doubt there are any extra features that the Venom has that the PFC doesn't.

i didnt think the venom would do much with the apexi fc but its up in the air we would probably have to ask apexi and or venom to get a good answerr

from what I remember the venom is a piggy back control style ecu piece...like the Apexi SAFC...the SAFC while initially able to re-tune the fuel map to provide more power in our cars, is eventually over-ridden by our computers...they have built in mechanisms to over-ride this sort of thing...the ApexiPFC is so powerful because it is a standalone system that completely replaces our ecu's...and also is capable of manipulatinf everything from the fuel curve to the air/fuel retio, to what rpm lift sets in, to even how much the VVTI mechanism manipulates our cam timing...
