this question might be a stupid one but... i just have to ask...since i'am new to the whole car sceen...

do i have to have a turbo kit in my car in order to have a blow off valve...??? i just love to hear that sound...!!!

do i have to have a turbo kit for this..?? if not then.. what can i do..??

anyone...???

Well, you don't need a turbo to have one, but you do need a turbo for it to work. wink It releases excess pressure from the turbo in the intake system when you let off the gas. Regular engines don't have any pressure (they actually create a vacuum), so it would just sit there and nothing you could do except get a turbo or SC would allow it to open.

yeah, you do have to have a turbo to have a blow off valve, some company makes a kit that makes the noise for you in between shifts without a turbo, but thats way rice rice rice rice rice rice rice rice rice rice rice rice

uhmm... i see... so i have to have eather a turbo kit or a SuperCharger...

... oh well... i'll just settle for the cool air intake then (AEM)
i dont want to get to extream on my car.. and putting turbos or a supercharger is to extream... i just like to keep it simple. cry

well... you can hook up the air-tank to the BOV and then hook them up to ur throttle, so everytime you let go of the throttle the air-tank force the air into the BOV and the BOV will shoot.

well, it's a theory. ive heard ppl doing it in taiwan.

i did not do this b4 so i dont know the down side of this.

if you want the sound of a BOV you need forced induction

BOV sounds nice..but its gay unless you can back it up w/ a turbo or supercharger

have you ever heard just a BOV it is nothing compared to having a fool turbo hearing the turbo spool than the bov...you need the fool effect...sorry bro...it is plain rice to have the BOV sound...also if others hear it than want to race and smoke u...it looks pretty bad on ur part in my opinion.either tubo or no turbo.

BOV's will work without a turbo.

Just make the noise with your mouth, and it will make your car feel faster.

ok guys.. thanks for the info... and your right...as far as the bov sound is conserned... if i cant back it up with the actual turbo or SuperCharger.. then it's crap and i would not want to look like a poser and be laughed at beacuse of it (LoL i did not even see it that way)

Here's an idea: You can get that fake thing that makes that bov sound, then put a gt badge on your car. It will be like a turbocharged gt, and it will have the power of the gts. Obviously, I'm kidding, but I'm sure somebody will try it.
