I got clearcoat overspray all over
my front windsheild (i repainted my
kit and the bodyshop oversprayed and
when i recived my car it was at night
so i didnt notice.. i took it back 2 days
later and they said it wasnt them)
does anyone know of the easiest and
most effective way to remove the
clearcoat other than a razorblade?

Try some clay bar, I know it removes overspray for the paint so it should work for glass?

alcohol!!! Same thing i use to remove city stikcers and shit that i have to have on the windshield and then it gets incrusted to it, because the sun hardens it and melts it, just try household rubbing alcohol, with a dull razor blade, so it wont sratch, but it can get under it!!

nope nope, just get some ajax or some abrasive household cleaner. that's what we use at the body shop where i work at to remove overspray from glass, it will not harm the glass, just make sure to rinse it well and not allow it to get on the paint and dry and you'll be fine. thumbsup

make sure this shit doesnt get on ur paint or you will have to start all over again (paint and all...)

i used a plastic card no scraches to get city/ parking passes off the glass inside my car along with windex, works good with repeated treatments...

first clean the window real well that will pick up some of the paint, then start scraching...

Get fine wire wool, spray some glass cleaner (foam) and go in circles softly to avoid scratching your windshield. It works. Thats what my friend who has a collison repair shop told me to do. You will fine the wool at any auto parts store.
