Can a GTS have a supercharger AND a turbo on it at the same time, or is it possible to have 2 turbos.

that would be too much for the engine to handle, even with a rebuilt engine with strong internals but with enough money, i guess its possible.

COuld be done, with enough money. Wouldn't be the most cost effective way to generate power though.

Heavy, need space, difficult to control, reliability issue, doesn't worth $$$, IMO. Many MKIV Supras have been converted to a single turbo to achieve their high HP goal. If you think you really need somthing to help the turbo spooling, try NOS.

Good, thats kinda what I wanted to hear. So what would be better for my car, a turbo or supercharger. I think turbos give better gains in the low RPMs so that would be great for my GTS, but im not sure. The blitz supercharger is nice too. Also, wouldnt I want a Venom 400 system to go with the turbo for better gains.

Turbos have gains at higher RPM's you mean...SC is for start HP, I would say Turbo, better gains and you can control the boost unlike with a SC you can only do so much to increase a SC

I want a Supra :'(

OHHHHHH!!!! But wouldnt I want to get more low end since I have a GTS. I wouldnt mind gettin turbo though(dont get me wrong) but Im just wondering since you have to go through the lower RPMs to get the power in the upper RPMs, wouldnt you want to get there faster by increasing your low end.

I'm not even gonna get into it, just do some searches and read some of my other posts. All these basic questions have been answered a ton.

not to flame at all, but the world of turbo is like another thing besides of having a celica. I believe that when someone knows their car like the back of their hand, they are ready for the burden and difficulty of tuning a turbo. My best friend had 2 stock tsi talons, not one of them lasted over a year, he just didnt know. Im not gearhead on cars, nor could afford yet work on a turbo engine. If you ask a question if you could double up on forced induction, you should get to know your car a little more before boosting it. Though in my opinion a supercharger and turbo would be freakin sweet even if it was on a dodge omni

the twin turbo set up is possible, but costly and our engines aren't built for monster power.

the turbo+supercharger set up is good in theory but impractical in real life. There was a CRX guy that had a turbo+supercharger set up but the car never ran, too much shit to fuck up with.

You shouldn't turbo your car unless you got time, money and commitment to really work on your car, cause force inductioning a NA car is a lot of work to keep up if you run it a lot.

IMO the turbo is better, you get more high end gains, which is where you need it cause when you are racing you never go in the low rpm range its always in the high rpm range, well atleast thats how its supposed to be. And its easier to gain extra hp with a boost controller as with a sc you need to get a new pulley just to change the boost setting.

a blower AND a turbo? sounds like crazy talk to me!
crazy!! spineyes
crazy I say!! spineyes

mwahahaha!!

but seriously, unless you're a complete nutcase, there can't be much point. Supercharger or turbo and NoS should give enough of a "Jump To Lightspeed" effect to keep anyone happy happywink
