how good are TRD pads? way better than stock not much or just a little? i just ordered these from japan. any comments appreciated.thanks

i dunno if the japan TRD pads are the same as mine. i bought mine from northridge toyota...and basically TRD are re-badged hawk hps pads. they're okay. they dust like crazy but if you wanto stop it does it's job.

They need to be heated up to perform at 100%. Better for road course racing than anything.

I bought Bendix CT-3 Front Ceramic Brake Pads for my car from Advanced autoparts. They were $60 and they dont sqeal at all, and produce minimal brake dust. Notacibly better stopping quality too.

what i think rookieGTS is saying is that there are other companies that make competitive (or better) pads at a better price than TRD (who re-labels other products as their own)

the only problem with those other pads is they are not good unless you are racing with them since regular driving wont heat them enough to work the way they were designed TRD is made for street driving not all out racing they were like 48 bucks or sumthin like that pretty inexpensive and good quality no matter what name is on them
