yea you gotta collapse it then out it in place and twist to raise it so it stays secure n the brackets in there. I couldt believe that wen that lady hit me it had enough force to knock the jack out of its secure postion into the main trunk area.

That same thing happened to me a while back, My rear bumper was flush with my wheel. Glad her insurance paid, It was 2600, to fix. Some old ladies should not be driving
