OK folks, as I said in another thread, I think using the term "Rice" in a derogative sense is pretty offensive and unfair to Japanese cars in general. We need a suitable term to describle sad crappy looking cars with no style that doesn't suggest that all sporty Jap cars are bad. Come on then!!

Come on then!! ...why? why is it offensive? why is it unfair? there are some other terms for other country made cars... so who cares. well maybe you do, but, learn to like it. you cant change anything just to wut you want.

LOL, I didn't realise you had all different terms for different types of crapmobiles... rice, beans etc. you can definitely see the different schools of design influences coming through in the utter naffness of these cars

^^ I think "Rice" sounds like it's having a dig at all Jap cars to be honest, but maybe that's because I'm not used to hearing it over here. I'm not getting on my soapbox or anything, just thought it would be funny to come up with a better, more descriptive term OMFG I had to post this one Should come with a warning, "CAUTION, KEEP SMALL CHILDREN AND ANIMALS CLEAR WHEN VEHICLE IS REVERSING"

well, i know a couple of "krylon sponsered" cars, and some "auto zone racing team" members. cracks me up. Damn GT-R Cavalier's and such. It's not a japanese car thing, it's a wanna be thing. i know more neons to be "riced out" than imports around here. where stickers add horsepower. and nopi is plastered all over malibu's with "stadium seating" wings.

Honestly, we accept wings as OK and stylish. But on a practical note they do nothing for a front-wheel-drive car, even on a track. So it just depends on you definition of rice.
