Exactly HOW good is the 3s-gte engine the old Celicas use to run. If it is good, can I put it in my 7th gen Celica. I hate having plp come up to me and tell me that my car is slow. I just want to have my Celica as fast as it can be and im afraid if I want that, I need a new engine.

Yeh, I have a GTS, but I want ot know HOW good the old engine for the Celica is. I dont have any money right now and I will upgrade my current car but I just want to know the potential with the 3s-gte engine.

One of my friends in his stock GTS just beat one of his friends in a stock Evo MR from a roll. Hell, another one of my friends with a GT with custom axle back always used to beat his friend's WRX the same way. The Celica might not have good numbers from a standstill, but once it's going, it's pretty damn fast. thumbsup

All I have to say is if your gunna spend that much money on a new engine. I think everyone these days looks at the 3S-GTE as a quick way to get boosted when really swapping the engine into the 7th gen will cost you 10+k Its a great motor and has great numbers but for the amount of money, I got quote for a fully rebuilt engine plus full custom turbo and full exhaust 3in for that amount. Im thinkin if you gunna spend that much money, why not put it into a 7th gen engine.. Plus whats wrong with a N/A GTS.. Get some TPR stuff and PFC thumbsup
