Hey guys, I was at work today and got bored so I grabbed the digicam and took a couple pics of my car with another guy that lives in the mall.

Nothing special but I think they're both very nice cars thumbsup

Please wait to post till I'm done. 5 pics to follow.

There is somthing about some of those pictures that seems like the WRX just it sitting higher and looks like it owns the celica... Anyone else see that.. Look the celica though. What springs you got? Nice rims! thumbsup

Yeah, the STi is ssiiiiiiiiiccc. He has it lowered, exhaust, blue tint, eibach sway bars etc. It looks even better in person. I'd trade for it. He said he had his ECU reprogrammed too.

I'm on Eibach Sportlines and 18's.

So the STi may be faster, but there is no denying that the Celica just looks soooo much sleaker and sportier.

I test drove an STi before I bought my Celica, because in the UK the cars are similarly priced. They're quick, but not spectacularly quick. I was blown away by the handling but very disappointed with straight line performance. I was expecting the kind of acceleration that pinned you to the seat unrelentingly. Far from it. On an open road the Impreza would pull away from a Celica, but from 60 onwards it would be pulling away very slowly.

Considering how ugly the STi is and the crappy interior I didn't hesitate picking the Celica over it. It turns far more heads, and girls see the Celica and automatically think its a Ferrari compared to the Subaru because of the way it looks.

^^^^^ Good point. I've never been in a WRX but by the numbers I would have thought that it does have "pin you to the seat acceleration". Especially the STi.

Yes, I like the looks of the celica much better too! thumbsup

yeah but i woould still take the sti over celica if i had money. They might not look as sharp but its fast. SRT-4 is looking real tempting now that i looked it up and saw some videos of 12 second srt-4s with just turbo upgrade. I dont like the fact thats its a neon but some look ok once tuned. What about a vw GTI i could build one of those to be quick. Or should i just keep my celi.

^^^^I'd keep the celi.. they're just soooooo nice. It's the best car I've ever owned and had the least problems with. I love my car but I'm sure I'd also love an STi thumbsup

Thanks man, my rims are 42mm offset. never had any problems with them, they're no where close to rubbing cause I got 35 series tires.

Yes, we park like that to stay away from others, right on the line. If it's busy there, we park in the back by that 18 wheeler trailer that's been there for years. There's room for just 2 cars between it and the curb... PERFECT!! thumbsup

i raised one in my celica, and got my but handed to me! i love turbo cars, used to have one, but too much maintenance. in my opinion not a good daily driver in the long run.

I would definately have to agree with you...except in the case of the subarus. Those things are unstopable. Crazy how reliable they are...honestly! thumbsup

um don't listen to what veilside 300 said, that's bull...

i have ridden in an sti and know how it drives...
it DOES pin you down in your seat, i have spoken to many people who tell me that...as soon as that turbo spools up...BAM...it's FAST
and from 60 up?
we went from 60-110 in like 2 seconds...my friend was like "we're already at 110"

and the interior is not crappy..the 05 is amazing...love it so much

and btw - right now, i'm trying to trade in my wrx for an 05 STi...so then i'll tell you how it is if everything works out

HA HA HA. I said I've driven one, not had a ride in a magical one that accelerates from 60-110 in 2 seconds.

Take my word for it...its quick when the turbos spool up, but nothing spectacular. Certainly not neck snapping acceleration. 5.5 0-60mph, 260bhp, 150mph top speed. I need not argue my point anymore, unless everyone really wants to believe that it goes from 60-110 in 2 seconds rofl
