went and looked at a 01 gsxr 750 today. It has 8600 miles and is blue and white, its lowered and has a full yosh system and a pc commander on it. It was so bad when he wheeled it out. Its flawless and looked so good. They want 6500 for it, I think thats steep for an 01, but not sure. I just want something faster than my old sv650.

That does sound a little steep. I just sat on a brand new 750 in the showroom and it was running for under 10K (Canadian dollars) Still a fuckin' nice bike though thumbsup

the only thing is the dealer can finace me better than a bank. 4.9% vs. 11%+ and that may be why its more. The book value is 6300, which im sure i can get it under that, cause you know they screwed the guy who traded it in. Im just gonna say 48 months plus a helmet and ttl. Out the door...payment under 150.00. Then thats only 20 more bucks a month than my sv cost me.

so take the highest that you can barley afford then when something unavoidable happens and you have to drop a grand to fix something but oh wait you don't have any money now

i agree wit the fact that you should pay it off as soon as you can but don't make it impossable for you to spend any money

Bikes hold their value real well. That doesn't seem too unreasonable.

well, the price is pretty stuck on 6599 firm, they wont budge, but they will throw in a matching helmet. Oh the best deal, the retards didnt realize the bike is really an 02, they already were firm on the price on that, so its a better deal now. here is a pic of it...

That IS a good price. Take the bike and get a Suomy or Arai custom helmet (around $300). That Gixxer is a nice bike. Don't kill yourself though, it has about 130 hp and it is real easy to high-side coming out of a turn if you lock your rear tire or let it slide loose. Be careful but have fun

I see other mods than what you listed...clear integrated turn signals, looks like a steering damper, and I think more than just a slip-on because the header looks aftermarket too. Buy this bike!!
duh...edit...just noticed you said Full yoshimura..sorry

my girlfriend likes rides, which might be too low, and scrape, supposely the handling sucks lowered, and it has an aftermarket seat on it, not sure if i like it, its missing the rear seat. Their is a minor piece broke off the lower fairing on the opposite site. It kinda looks as if the pipe was melting it and the previous owner, got lazy and snapped off a 2 inch piece, i didnt even notice it until i got on my knees and looked under it. otherwise its like perfect.

the seat is like that because hes got an undertail conversion on it, about $300 mod. I can't tell if hes got a hugger on there or not? I don't think you'd want your girl to ride much on THIS bike. But you could always put the seat and tail back to stock. Ask the dealer who had the bike originally because I bet if you contact him he still has the original pieces OR he traded it in with the bike and the dealer ain't tellin ya.

no undertail, fender has been cut off... the rear seat cover is in place of the seat, i think it looks better. Their is not a hugger, the fender is stock. You know a lot about bikes, do you have msn messenger, so we dont have to keep doing this?

im giving up...i cannot find insurence for this thing for under 140 bucks a month, too ridiculous. And i have to have it insured year around. Which means i have to pay 300 a month for the bike and the insurence even during the winter with snow on the ground. Im so pissed i cant even breathe right yet!!!

WAYYYYYY too much for that bike. A bike with that many miles on it has to have some problems with it.

handaling does not suck when its lowered .. in fact it helps a lot lowers your center of gravity.. now getting over speed bubps on the other hand (mine can barley get over the larger bumps)
