GM mechanics love the Celica
My brother is a mechanic at a GM dealsership and I had to go give him something yesterday.

When I drove up to his stall half of the mechanics came out to see it. They couldn't believe I had 18" rims with 35 series tires. They didn't think it could be true and came out to read the sidewall on the tire. HAHAHA rofl

I let one of them take it for a drive with me and he couldn't get it in first. He went from stalling it in 3rd to reverse. They're not used to 6 speeds at GM I guess.

Then I didn't tell him about lift and let him take it over 6,000rpms. He couldn't imagine the power increase from "this little 4 cylinder". thumbsup He drives a pickup and a 60's Camaro.

That's cool, show those people what four-banger imports can do out of the box.. our car is so underrated, but that's okay because when our cars hit they come out of no where. grin

Yep, everytime i pull into the Toyota place even just to get an oil change, about 5 employees come out and check out my car. They even ask me about mods and such. They give me free installs for little things too! Gotta love the celica..

hahaha yuup! It's so true our GTS's are really under rated and get shot down for some reason. Our cars got some heat behind the wheels if driven right! That's why i love my toyota GTS thumbsup

yeah, same when I go in for oil change. Several come out and stare, look under the Hood, notice the small carbon fiber stuff I have like under the handles, 3rd brake light, door sills etc.

The service manager loves my car, I like my Toyota dealer, I wish you guys had good ones too. They never even mention my mods as "the problem". thumbsup
