...what do you guys think bout the fuzz breakin down on fixed up imports?...and do you think that will effect the celica meet on da 17th...i just read in the paper that they're goin to have this drag-net team goin orange and pullin over people even if the car looks a little fixed up...

I run down cops when they are being dicks etc, but to be honest, the cops in my town haven't given me much grief. That being said, I don't do stupid $hit on the roads. Keep my speed under 10 over, I'm sure to stop at stop signs etc. So they are alright. Got stopped once but it was no biggie. I think he just wanted to poke around and see what was what. But when he ran my plates they would have came back clean.

LOL the only thing I do is from 140 to 200kmh on the highways. But not when they're around. hehe

When I was out there I was driving from Calgary to Edmonton at about 20 over & I was passing everything on the highway. Its scary how people there actually drive the speed limit.

well just drive legal and they cant do anything. they can stop us but they wont have anything on us. if they give us bullshit tickets like for exhaust and we know its legal, who gives a damn. we gotta show them not all imports are racers. i mean i've seen old ass preludes and corollas going 100+ on the freeway.

Haulin et al from places outside CA: you don't know Cali cops. yeah we aren't dumb enough to give them an excuse to beat us like Rodney King, BUT it doesn't matter. They'll pull sh*t for no reason like they did at that car show in SD. There's only so much car enthusiasts can take. racer riot? The police don't stand a chance until the military comes in. You might be able to get a nice car out of the police impound if you're lucky.

You were passing people doing only 20 over? Man when I come back from the airport to edmonton, I again, usually do 140 and sure I'm passing cars, but not by much. Yeah they have photo radar but that's only in the cities. With traffic lights etc, you really aren't going to make any time speeding in the city. One plus for photo radar is that it's only a fine and no demerits. My one buddy has a vette and he loves photo radar. His liscence would have been gone a LONG time ago, but now he just ponies up some bucks every now & then.

Yah its nice not having points, but your odds of getting nailed go way up. I know here in Ontario when we had it, thousands and thousands of people where getting tickets in the mail. We voted in a provincial government that promised to get rid of it & they did. Now the friggin liberals are talking about it again. Dumbass Maginty can go to hell.
